The Family is God’s Method for Evangelism and Discipleship
SHARE THIS POST WITH OTHERS
Children need salvation in Christ, and God designed the home as the context to transfer faith from one generation to the next. The home is God’s discipleship center to expose sin and help one another grow in godliness. Marriage, parenting, and grandparenting are sanctifying relationships that help us to die to self and become more like Jesus.
A parent and grandparent’s role is to be a disciple-maker. They are given the tasks of teaching, instruction, discipline, nurture, provision, protection, and education. The biblical role of a parent and grandparent can be summarized in two words: disciple-maker.
As the church, your role is to equip parents and grandparents to fulfill their role as disciple makers.
