Dr. Cole Sandlin

Dr. Cole Sandlin is an author, speaker, and educational leader dedicated to equipping parents, grandparents, churches, and Christian schools to pass the Christian faith to the next generation. He holds a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership and has developed family discipleship resources, educator training, and children’s books designed to help families build lasting rhythms of faith in the home. Cole and his wife, Cayla, are the authors of Great News: A Family Walk Through the Gospel, live in Colorado with their children, where they are committed to helping families discover that the greatest opportunity to shape the next generation begins at home.

Seminars

God never intended churches or schools to replace the home—they were designed to support it. This session explores the biblical foundation for family discipleship and equips parents and ministry leaders to build a culture of intentional faith in everyday life.

Many churches and schools serve families well, but few intentionally equip them for discipleship at home. Learn practical strategies for creating a ministry that partners with parents instead of replacing them, resulting in stronger families and lasting spiritual impact.

Why do so many young people walk away from their faith? This session examines biblical principles for cultivating resilient, lifelong faith and provides practical tools parents can use to disciple their children through every stage of life.

Discipleship is more than family devotions—it’s shaping a household that reflects the character and mission of Christ. This session equips families to intentionally weave Scripture, prayer, service, hospitality, and gospel conversations into everyday life. Participants will discover how ordinary moments can become extraordinary opportunities to form disciples and leave a lasting spiritual legacy.

Biblical Grandparenting

The Biblical Grandparenting Seminar or Conference is a partnership with a local church or organization to equip grandparents in their God-designed role to be intentional, godly grandparents so that future generations may grow up with a biblical foundation that will enable them to follow Christ wholeheartedly in today’s world.

The Grandparenting conference is designed to equip this generation of grandparents in the battle for the hearts, minds and souls of the next generation—their grandchildren. This event will help grandparents understand the cultural realities of today and how to prepare our grandchildren to walk in the truth in a world that rejects Christ.

In the Biblical Grandparenting Conference, Dr. Josh Mulvihill unpacks culture’s misleading messages about grandparenting, provides a biblical overview of the role of grandparents, and shares groundbreaking research that will give you a vision to impact the next generation for Christ. In addition, you will be given practical methods to disciple your grandchildren and navigate your place in the family.

Every one of the 30 million Christian grandparents in America should have a copy of his inspiring books in their homes. Every church should have it available in their library, preached from our pulpits, read in our small groups, gratefully taken to heart and then acted upon. I highly recommend Josh and his awesome books.

Valerie Bell, CEO Emeritus, Awana

When we first met, Josh was the Pastor to Families and Children at a megachurch in Minnesota. I wondered if he would be someone who was chasing all the latest church fads or if he was serious about the biblical worldview development of the children and parents in his care. I soon discovered that he was not only serious about it, but had put programming in place to make it a reality, and he practices biblical worldview development in the lives of his five children every day.
